SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Community

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency mentioned it is alarmed concerning the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a higher range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no more info entirely functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The services place sassa status check produced for intervention activities a high influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it challenging with the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out sassa programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to empower the servicing of all customers and boost use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
